"This is not a stunt or an April Fool's joke. Someone really stole 12 tonnes of KitKats," the brand wrote in its latest official statement.
After multiple brands released their "official statements" as a joke in response to KitKat's recent heist announcement, the Nestle chocolate brand has now issued another official statement to help locate the missing batch. Titled "Official Statement In Response To Other Official Statements," KitKat clarified that this is a serious matter regarding the missing 12 tonnes of chocolate.
Introducing the tracker, the brand added, "So, we've created a Stolen KitKat Tracker that lets you check if your KitKat is from the missing batch." This initiative helps fans across the UK and beyond participate in the search for the missing chocolate.
The stolen bars include the highly anticipated race car-shaped chocolate, part of the brand's new Formula One collection. This partnership, launched last year, has become a fan favorite, making the theft even more impactful for collectors and F1 enthusiasts alike.
